Die Abbildung zeigt das optische Funktionsprinzip multifokaler Linsen und wie das Licht durch diffraktive und refraktive Zonen auf mehrere Brennpunkte verteilt wird. Dadurch wird gleichzeitig scharfes Sehen in der Nähe und Ferne ermöglicht.
